L’indipendenza dei Tribunali elettorali in America latina: profili costituzionali e comparati

The creation and diffusion of the Electoral Tribunals is one of the most original contribution of the Latin American constitutionalism. These bodies are established in order to resolve election disputes. This paper analyses the provisions contained in Latin American constitutions aimed at guaranteeing the independence of the Electoral Tribunals, which is an essential condition for their legitimacy.
